To provide a better Internet viewing experience for all our
customers - including Mac users - WVM has made a switch to Flash Video Player for
watching the sale broadcast via the Internet.
Flash Player will also allow you to view
video of the cattle in the WVM online
catalog prior to the sale.
Most recent browsers come with Flash Player installed but if you don't have it,
you can download it using the link in the table above.

The video stream may experience a lag from real time ('latency')
of up to a few seconds. If you are using the Flash webcast to bid, please turn
down the volume and let your phone rep keep you up on the bidding.
HOW IT WORKS
Western Video is teaming up with
Cal State University-Chico to bring you
a streaming webcast of this auction...via the Internet...in very nearly real
time if you have a broadband connection.
This means you will be able to see and hear
the auction and bid on cattle with a telephone call to the sale site.
Internet bidding is NOT enabled.
The quality of the video you receive will depend on the
speed of your Internet connection. A broadband connection (Wireless,
DSL, T1,
Cable ) will allow you to watch the sale as it's happening.
Satellite and dialup
connections will either see a slide show (a video still shot that changes every
5-10 seconds) or be unable to view the broadcast, but still
listen.
It all depends
on your connection speed.
From our tests, it looks like the
audio from the sale should be good quality
and very nearly real time with at least a 40K (Kilobits/sec)
connection to the
Internet.
